when Moussa leaves it will be to a top 6 EPL team or a top European team, if he wanted to take the big wage and fight relegation in England we would never have seen him in the hoops

If they have bid 20m then that is good - it sets the bar at a very nice minimum.

A starting point, hopefully we keep him for another year and he has another few stormers in the Champions League next year.
Yep.

And when he eventually goes it'll be for more than £20m

And to a better club than West Ham
Agreed on both.

I first compared him to Drogba a few months ago I stand by it. the lad is 20, by the time he is 25 he will be amongst the absolute top strikers in the world.

Another year or even two with us and Champions League football will only improve him.

A move to West Ham and that soulless toilet they play in will not improve him as a player.

If it's money he wants I'd gladly allow him go on loan to a Chinese club during the Summer. Win win (Not the name of the club)

Celtic have had no official bids for Moussa Dembele. We also understand £20m is way under the club's valuation of the striker.

Swap Celtic where he is revered by passionate fans playing Champions League for West Ham who play in front of a barely 3/4 full absolute pishy soulless stadium, scrambling to stay in mid table obscurity.Never mind Celtic telling them to bolt im pretty sure Moussa would tell them the same

As it darn well should be, Rodgers got £49 million for Sterling, there's your starting point.

On a purely footballing level I don't think Dembele (or his agent) thought for a second he was coming up here to win a solitary League Cup.

I am aware he would qualify for a league winners medal if he left now, but I hope the player wants the experience of winning a League Championship under his belt, that he wants to be part of those celebrations and that he also wants to be part of a tilt at the treble.

The club seem to have good things to say about his agent, so you would hope the relationship is good. If all parties are sensible about things then you'd hope there could be an agreement that would see him go after next season's CL qualifiers, a bit like Van Dijk.

Champions League football in 2017/18 is worth more (financially and otherwise) than West Ham's £20m bid.

I was skeptical earlier in the season about the valuations that were getting bounded around; however, it seems pretty realistic that 20m is the bare minimum that would be entertained.

Ideally, I would like him to stay until we qualify for the CL again; however, given the risk of injury and the potential for a dip in form - especially since we're competing in domestic competitions only - I think we would probably accept an offer of 25m if it appeared in January (still find it brilliantly crazy to be associating a Celtic player with that kind of cash).

Would that amount be regarded as acceptable on here? If not, for a January sale, how much would be acceptable?

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Player holds most/all of the power to be fair.

If he wants to go he will he inevitably will. Celtic are not going to hold onto a player for the next 6 months who potentially could rock the boat. Footballers are precious creatures and take the huff fairly easily. Moussa does seem to be a have the head screwed on but you never know with agents lurking who are in charge of him and his career.

The signs look good for us but you never know his head could get turned for more wages, better league etc….easily done in this age & current climate.

FWIW hope not and he stays to at least this summer which I think he will but he & his side hold all the power. If he tells the club he wants to go which MIGHT very well happen they may want to cash in now rather than risk him being unhappy.

As I say looks okay just now but you never know.
We said the same about VVD after Maribor, he even said his goodbyes to the support that night, we wouldn't sell him.

Every situation is different..different clubs, fees, agents...Moussa seems a nice boy but if he wants to go he will.

Thats the bottom line.

19 y/o Lookman 45 career games and 10 goals in League 1 = £11m to Everton.

In perspective £20m can gtf.

Take £40m.

Money talks to Celtic and the player unfortunately we all know we have been many times here before . Hope he stays on and develops more at a bigger club than West ham to the summer time.

We will be holding out for a bid from a top 4 club in the summer.

We want to break this barricade of selling to lower EPL clubs before they move on to a big one.

If we can sell direct to a big one then its game on.
