20million after 6 months, what's another year and another CL campaign going to add?

We don't need to sell just now and we won't.

If he signed for West Ham in the summer I doubt he would have :

a) Improved as a footballer
b) Enhanced his reputation

Moussa would not entertain a move to them even if we were to accept a bid this window.
Yes I'm sure Moussa would turn down the opportunity to double or treble his wages.

Maybe he will stay for the amazing fans up here

If we accept the bid he will be away.
He had the chance to do exactly that in the summer but chose to come to us

Well Dembele himself has said a few times that money was not the prime factor in his moving to us. He could have gotten more elsewhere.

When he goes, which won't be this month, he'll be going to a far bigger club that West Ham.

Player holds most/all of the power to be fair.

If he wants to go he will he inevitably will. Celtic are not going to hold onto a player for the next 6 months who potentially could rock the boat. Footballers are precious creatures and take the huff fairly easily. Moussa does seem to be a have the head screwed on but you never know with agents lurking who are in charge of him and his career.

The signs look good for us but you never know his head could get turned for more wages, better league etc….easily done in this age & current climate.

FWIW hope not and he stays to at least this summer which I think he will but he & his side hold all the power. If he tells the club he wants to go which MIGHT very well happen they may want to cash in now rather than risk him being unhappy.

As I say looks okay just now but you never know.

he could have had his wages doubled by skipping us out in his career. Don;t think money motivates him too much.

We said the same about VVD after Maribor, he even said his goodbyes to the support that night, we wouldn't sell him.

If they have bid 20m then that is good - it sets the bar at a very nice minimum.

A starting point, hopefully we keep him for another year and he has another few stormers in the Champions League next year.

Would he really want to go to a club where grown men get emotional about blowing bubbles? Even for 70 grand a week they're best avoided.

He can do better than West Ham. I also don't think we will be taken for mugs when it comes to the fee, this lad is going to set a Scottish record that will probably never be broken.
I'd think so too..but Boydchenko poured scorn on that idea a few weeks ago in his "column"...
Wouldn't be the first time that fat :carrot: got things wrong though, would it?

Evening Standard going with the story of a £20m bid from West Ham.

For £20 mill I would sell.
Don't ever think of playing poker!!!

If we get into the CL and get a more favourable group then Moussa is more than likely going to add to his tally for us, in turn his value will only increase and his subsequent wage demands will be met.

Stick around big man, plenty more to come for you further down the line

It really is all you can say. Man U come in with a £25mil and it would take a very special lad to ignore that type of Wonga no mater how much we want to keep him. I hope we do keep him , but that's starting to look like a realistic bid.

He`s better than a West Ham or similar and he knows it.

The problem we have is if a top four/Champions league club from any of the big 3-4 leagues are willing to pay the top end of the going rate for someone with is ability and potential, he`ll be gone then whether it`s January or any time of the year.

Til then we`ll enjoy him. I imagine the media are in a quandary up here between being desparate to see the back of him but equally determined we do`nt get daft money for him, you can almost hear the squeals of dissonance.

Yep.

And when he eventually goes it'll be for more than £20m

And to a better club than West Ham
