Balde had a clause that would've let him leave on a free.

Nope. Park is single handedly responsible only for every bad signing we've made. He was at the bank lodging his bonuses on the days we got van dijk, Dembele et al and he was fuming. It's because he's EVIL. But it's fine, cos he's gone now. And nothing will ever go wrong again. But if it does,it's Lawwell's fault. And maybe Bitton's.
Do you ever bore yourself with this pish because you certainly bore the rest of us?

Away and make a list of which of our U-17 players are out injured.
Burn.

The chat on Park does bore. Which was kind of my point

He came here because he didn't want to sit on the bench at a Spurs etc, he also didn't fancy going anywhere where he'd spend the game watching his team mates defend for 38 games, learning eff all.

What's changed in 4 months to make people think he's ready to bail? I'll go with ZZ's opinion, he'll be here for a wee while.

Is the correct answer supposed to be none?

There's was talk that Boruc and Petrov signed new deals with min bid clauses but not sure that was ever confirmed.

Heard a report naka had a mutual one in his first year in case either side felt it didn't work which was supposed to be why he was given a new deal after a year to remove it

Purchased for a £500,000 development fee, Celtic striker Moussa Dembele is now valued at £40m with Chelsea and Manchester City ready to battle with Real Madrid for the 20-year-old. (Sunday Express
)and we think he will be here next season? i dont think so somehow

Dembele signed for us because he wanted to develop as a player and didn't want to sit on the bench at an EPL club. Can't see him going anywhere for another year at least. Has a good head on his shoulders.
He can dictate his terms now. First team football being number one on his list

If we get 10-12m we will be doing very well. Were he playing in any of the top 4 leagues, 40m may not be far off the mark. Alas :(
You honestly think we will be "doing well" to get 10-12m for Dembele. Based on what?
Based on his arsegrapes giving him jip. Man U paid £36 million for Martial ffs.

Not forgetting that Dembele counts as a homegrown English player for CL squads due to spending enough of his youth football at Fulham.
My arsegrapes haven't flared up in months :arrr:

Yes, they did. Monaco with their Russian sugar daddy did not have to sell and ergo were in a position of power when negotiations opened. Again, we will do well to get 12m for him.

Monaco owner was the first surprised the silly valuation he put on Martial was met. His main interest then was to cash in.

We got £15m for big Virgil. This guy is younger, more highly rated from the start and is a striker. I'm not saying we'll get £40m but I'd be surprised if it's not creeping towards £20m.

First I've heard the £15m figure for VVD.

Agree that there is likely to be an uplift of the top fees we've managed before because of the fact that he's a striker. One more big CL performance would secure that

Apologies, just checked and the guesses range from £11.5m to £13m.

When he does decide to go we can always boast that before he scaled the heights he plied his trade with us. Whatever happens he will never forget being a skelper of Sevco. :lolhuns:

Speaks volumes. Before even entering negotiations, Man United would have been expecting a certain level of game playing.

Hugely ironic.

But no. Firstly, I'd rather he stay and flourish with us. If and when he goes, I want him to go for as much as possible; I just don't feel that we will get more than the average fee we've been receiving for our top players.

Player starts doing well for Celtic, then suddenly linked to moves to all and sundry, no chance of us being able to keep him etc...

Think I've seen this movie before. I guess this is all based on the fact that Man Utd had a scout in Dingwall during the week.

Hardly think he'll be here for his 25th birthday, however I think its a bit early to suggest he's on the road out. Pretty sure most big clubs (including ourselves) will have many scouts watching a load of players across Europe. Being scouted does not mean a bid is imminent, even if they like the guy.

So you think we'll not get any more than what we have for our previous big sales. That is despite the transfer market exploding down south since the last of those sales?
Despite the position Dembele plays in being the position where players go for big money?
Despite Spurs already bidding £6million for him when he only had 6 months of his contract left to run at a time he hadnt played and scored at Champions League level?

You might find it ironic I think you're talking shampooe but you should think things through before playing down our chances of getting big money for Dembele.
