Do you remember when folk were pining for a 'hero' and thought Guidetti would be the guy at one point?

Best striker since Larsson, hands down. First striker we've had since then who looks like he can go on and play at the highest level. Hopeful we can have him for a few more seasons.

Actually thought he didn't have a great game yesterday, but then I thought the front 3 lacked something. Probably just a bit tired. What a finish though. I doubt it crossed his mind to just hit it 'normally'

Those eyes!!

He actually had a good game. He was a handful all day. Created some excellent chances for himself, laid two chances on for Sinclair and he scored a wonder goal.

No he didn't. He was quite poor and very frustrating with some of his decisions yesterday.

Class finish though :worthy:

Anyone know the record for goals against them,by one player,in a single season?
Don't think anyone has more than 1 goal in a full season?

Just before the Dawn

he was good yesterday. He was playing against a team who basically set out with four full backs, which resulted in him being starved of opportunity, but when they came he did what all good strikers do. The one cleared off the line on the first half , when The Cheat gave Sevco a free kick was well manufactured, and his curled effort was close. The finish at the end was as hilarious as it was stunning. Difficult for strikers when opposition teams set out to kill the game, but he held his nerve to the death.
Awesome.

He's excellent. A bit like KT I think, in that even when he's not having a great game he still fights for everything and works hard as he can.

One minor criticism of him(and Sinclair actually) would be decision making, specifically when the get one on one with a defender and specifically when that's in the box - they're both strong, fast and skillful yet sometimes a bit reluctant to dribble at players in they situations when it would seem be the best thing to do.

Renato Sanches has won the golden boy award.

Moussa finished 2nd in the fan vote but didn't get in the top ten voted on by journalists according to the record

Overall game yesterday was a bit average but his goal was glorious.

I'm pining for Rodgers to find a way to find a way for him and LG to form a partnership.

Change the formation of a winning side to shoehorn a fans' favourite in ?

Unlikely.

Ok, I'm baffled by everything I have read or heard with my eyes and ears so far on Dembele's finish, from Chris Sutton calling the live proceedings on BT Sport to Gerry McCullough on Clyde 1 SSB, to the Sun and various articles online, including this forum (and there is no grey area on the matter either), that it was a backheel.

I have not heard anybody verbally, or in print, describe his finish correctly as of yet.

His finish was either a sidefoot or sideheel finish. The ball came off the inside foot of his trailing leg, or to be more more precise, the side of his heel if you feel the ball came off the rear inside of his foot. But where the ball never came off, was the back of his heel.

This scenario doesn't even need slow motion replays for backup.

The whole structure of the goal, that being the path of the ball, from when it left Griffiths' foot to Demebele's foot, and Moussa's body position, to the direction that the ball drifted into (in front of Dembele and into the net), defies the logic of a backheel.

Perhaps I'm missing something.....if Albert Einstein was around today, I'd love to have heard his take on this one.

The bottom line is this. We all know what a backheel is the sport of football, and that certainly wasn't one by Moussa Dembele that sank the Huns at Hampden.
