How long is he signed up for?
4 year deal
Brendan Rodgers pays for himself several times over with that deal, even if he isn't sold on and just stays til the end

If he celebrated a goal v Northern Ireland u21s, with the difference in standards between him and the opposition, it would be akin to Brian Glover going nuts in Kes.

When Griffiths was on fire before his injury I couldn't see how Dembele could get into the side but now I can't see how Griffiths can get back in the team.Dembele's got his head screwed on and came here to developed as a player so I don't think he will be in to big a hurry to leave us.Just hope he's still with us when he reaches his full potential!

Still think most people would at least put your hand up as goal goes in or applaud. Just a quirk he has not complaining. Mind you your right none of them do lol

It was the 89th minute and they were two up already, ffs. It's the equivalent of some carrot scoring at fives.

I remember Lubo scoring in the 5-1 "demolition derby". Cool as a cucumber, he just started to raise one hand in acknowledgement, when suddenly the noise level explodes and he is swamped by delirious teammates. The look on his face said "wtf have I done?"

ARSENAL, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

Just three of the European heavyweights keeping tabs on Moussa Dembele.

The French forward has rattled in 14 goals for club and country in a prolific start to life at Celtic.

Now regarded as one of the best young hitmen in Europe, Dembele is a man in demand.

But the 20-year-old has promised fans he is going NOWHERE as he looks to put down roots in Glasgow.

Dembele said: “It’s good to know that clubs are watching me — but as long as they know I’m a Celtic player.

“I’m focused on Celtic. I don’t listen too much to what anyone is saying about me.

“My job is to get Celtic the best results possible and score as many goals as possible.

“Celtic is the best club for me. Not just for a few years. For a few years and MORE.

“That’s why I came here. I didn’t come here to stay just for a few years. I came here for the long term.

“I feel very much at home in Glasgow. The people around the city are all nice and friendly.

“I get recognised when I go to restaurants. I don’t really hang around town but, when I’m out for something to eat, more people recognise me now.

“They are always okay about it. There are no problems.”

Confident and focused, Dembele knows exactly where he wants to go in the game.

He had more lucrative offers than Celtic during the summer but believed Brendan Rodgers could develop his talent.

That is already proving to be the case. Dembele is now the Hoops’ No 1 frontman, capitalising on an injury to Leigh Griffiths.

His two-goal show against Manchester City prompted comparisons with Didier Drogba but the French ace insists he’s his own man.

Dembele added: “The gaffer has been great since I came here. Even before I signed, he was behind me right away.

“He gave me some good advice and is always helping me. He is trying to make me the best I can be.

“I know when I’m 100 per cent ready that I can produce some good stuff. That’s what I’ve done so far.

“To be fair, when I first came in, the lads were playing well so that made it easier for me to settle in.

“You can always do better, so I won’t say you have seen me at my best yet.

“I’m still young and still have things to learn. So you can only say there is more to come.

“It is great to be compared to a player like Drogba, but I want to make my own name.

“Hopefully with the goals I have scored, and the goals I will score, I will do that.

“Of course, I looked up to Drogba when I was younger. He was one of the greatest strikers in the world.

“He could score from anywhere. For me, he was one the best strikers there has ever been in the Premier League.

“My ultimate ambition is to be one of the best strikers in the world, or the best.

“Before that happens, I have a lot of things to do and I need to train very hard.”

Dembele’s progress has already been noted by France — he hit the net in his first two Under-21 games this month, against Georgia and Northern Ireland.

Senior coach Didier Deschamps could now hand him a full call-up and the Celt insists he’s fully committed to Les Bleus.

England had shown interest in the former Fulham kid under residency rules, but Dembele has no identity crisis.

He said: “I’m French, I was born in France. So, no, I won’t play for England.

“I’m ready for France as soon as he calls me. He’s the manager, it’s up to him to choose his players. But I’m ready.

“I will take any chance that comes — and, if it doesn’t come, I’ll work harder.”

Dembele bagged the Ladbrokes Player of the Month award for September and insists he is thriving on the pressure of being Celtic’s main man.

He said: “I feel okay about that. I don’t let it put any more pressure on me because there is no point in putting pressure on yourself.

“For me, when I’m focused and I give 100 per cent, I know I can score against any team.

‘That’s what I’m trying to do. I’m working in training to improve so that I’m ready on game day.

“I’m lucky that, sometimes, my best seems to come out in big games against the big teams.

“But, you know, I don’t really worry about who we are playing. I focus on myself and my team-mates, what we can do.

“It feels good when the crowd sings my name. To know you have the support of 60,000 fans . . . it’s unbelievable.

“To come to a massive club like this and have those fans singing my name, it’s really something for a young player like me.

“It would be something for any player, whatever their age or experience.

“I enjoy it a lot and I try to give them back what I can.”

He's the real deal.
He also knows what he needs to be working on & is all about developing & progress.
I can't see his head being easily turned.

A fantastic example to our (even) younger players.

Nice to see Dembele has his head screwed on and hopefully wont be lured away by a mid table premiership team. He is destined for the very top of the game.

For a guy so young he says all the right things and is totally respectful regardless of his known talent.

I love him nearly as much as my wife and kids
