I wonder what his situation would be right now if Griffiths had never gotten injured. I don't think he'd have started against the huns, and I don't think he'd have started any of the CL games.

Really? Is that how it read or just your interpretation of it? Said from the off he would improve with games and coaching. Hasn't that happened then?
Not quite. Here's what you said "from the off":

Quote:

I'm rapidly running out of patience with this guy. His close ball control in and around the box is non existent as is his heading ability. Every time he takes a player on he loses the ball and there is no movement into space when we are on the attack. I'm writing this after he has taken a ball down the left hand side and set up Griff with a not so bad run. Forrest just centred for us and instead of going towards the ball on the centre of the six yard box he runs to the far post behind two defenders. Needs to improve v quickly.

I like the big man. Thought his barny with Brown after his lazy pass cost us possession and the goal was another we glimpse of his arrogance. Then again maybe brown shouldn't have called him out, he's only 19 after all.

He'll be gone a lot sooner than people think IMO.
I think Broony could have won that ball. He hesitated. I still think there is a lot of work for City to do at that point. Silva has to pick out a great ball and Sterling takes two players out the game.
it was broonys fault, good pass that meant all brown had to do was take one touch and he was away. As you said he hesitated.
I wouldn't entirely blame Broony, he was played into trouble but he had to be stronger. If he had been, he would have won the ball.

Would love to see him win this but doubt it because the calibre of opposition in the SPFL,and also because of the some of the guys he is up against.

Celtic's Moussa Dembele up for 'Golden Boy' award for best Under-21 player in Europe

Don't think so either and he'd be spitting the dummy. He's only here for CL exposure IMO. One or two seasons and he'll be away

He should calm down, feels like he is in a hurry to try to impress, and gets frustrated.

I expect he will start in some of the CL games to try to hold the ball up for Sinclair and Roberts. His link up play is better than Griffiths'.
That's already a myth that's growing arms and legs.

How many goals has Dembele been noted as 'assist?'

I'm sure Griffiths is already ahead of him in that, and he scores.

In addition Griffiths knocks his pan in chasing list causes, has a cracking first touch and is evidently a team player.

Dembele has a long way to go to catch up, he's reminding me more of Fortune every match. Capable of little bursts of strength and speed but little else.

Fortune. Brilliant.

We weren't in the CL when he signed. Try and enjoy him while he's here and be a bit less miserable.

effing phenomenal last night. Seen people blaming him for the pass to Brown, but personally thought that Scott was half asleep. Was kinda obvious Moussa was looking for the pass inside.

The best striking performance I can remember from a Celtic player in Europe for some time. Delighted for him.
Agreed. He was Moussa's only out ball but had totally switched off and reacted very late to the pass
It was 50/50. Moussa's pass was a bit short, and Broonie was caught on the wrong foot. It happens. Just hope Broonie was not too hard on the kid.

Nothing at all from any of his interviews or comments suggest he would be spitting the dummy either.

Besides wanting to hit a penalty which he was supposed to, he's been very mature.

Anyone slating Griffiths is an idiot. The two are different players and both amazing to have. Both can bring us something extra.

 I'm enjoying seeing him in the hoops as much as the next man but...

I don't think it's unreasonable to think he'll only be here for a season or two. He made that apparent when he arrived. He's not here for the money but the chance to play week in week out and get exposure. In the SPL? Nope, the CL.

Fine. I'll bill you for the support payments in 9 months. I was having kittens last night, does that count?
