No one’s denying Moussa’s better but you’re getting a sad buzz out of Griffiths no longer being number one at the same time. Yer at it if you say you ain't
I don't get any buzz out of it. Griffiths is a very good SPL level striker. He will continue to score goals at that level. Dembele is a class above him and is the type of striker we have been crying out for. Especially those of us that felt we needed better for Europe. However, even in domestic football, the team is scoring more goals without LG than with him. FFS we scored 7 against Motherwell under your ex hero. 5 against Motherwell in LC, 5 against Sevco and 3 against Man City. Playing them together doesn't mean we will score more.
We do score more when Griffiths isn't playing - i've said it a fair few times.

It's no slight on LG, it's just a fact that when he is on the pitch he becomes the focal point of attack.

When he isn't on the pitch we bring far more scoring options into play and score more.

So far Moussa has proven to be better at introducing other players in a way that LG doesn't - but, I will say that LG has improved considerably at this since BR came in and think his game is becoming more generous, which can only be of benefit to the team.

We could have done with Griffiths on the pitch when we played Inverness the other week

I've watched Dembele and commented on his ability since day one. I've mentioned where he's good and where's he's poor. The coaching staff have also taken these points on board and worked 1-1 with him to improve his overall game. He's not quite there yet but close to being a very good striker. Enjoy the ride.

The dude is a massive talent and his contribution last night shows the value in having that ability against the best teams, summed up by the third goal. Not having anyone's nonsense about it. He entirely meant what he did.

He's 20 though, so he's still going to have his fair share of indifferent games. He'll share a lot of game time with Griffiths and rightly so. There's a role in all types of our games for both of them.

That's good of the coaching staff to listen to you.

Chris Sutton was raving about hi last night and how he only cost £500,000.

He kept on saying that Celtic will be lucky to hold onto and that he is a Didier Droghba type of player. (He did say that he has a long way to be the same player as him, but the similarities are there).

Hopefully he will want to stay another season at least and not get tempted with the first invitation to the EP League.
If he is tempted hope we have a good clause in his contract to maximise his worth.

He has certainly improved in the short time that eh has been here. He looked ungainly and awkward and now looks full of confidence, which was evident in his second goal.

I'm glad you were able to send on to the coaching staff analysis like "His close ball control in and around the box is non existent as is his heading ability" and "Tell me what he brings then because I sure can't see it". To graciously come on here and let us know you were right all along is a touch of class, well done.

He'll be in the nightmares of City's defenders for a while yet. Absolutely terrorised them. I knew he had a bit of potential from what I'd seen when he was at Fulham but wondered if he could make the step up. I needn't have worried. His second was outrageous.

It is a four year deal from 1st July this year.

Hopefully we will have him until at least June 2019 and if it be so some club is going to have to bust the baws off the record books for up here.

Lets hope we can get a couple of seasons from Moussa before selling for big bucks, and it has to be £25m plus.
It would be a shame if he goes next summer.
What a signing.
The fact he (and his agent, who may be his brother) were savvy enough to have him sign on at the 'Tic hopefully bodes well for the timespan he'll be here.

He wanted game time, and if we continue to qualify (and progress as a unit) in the CL, there may be nothing to stop the young dude from embracing everything that being a ghod can bring.

He's only just turned twenty, so I reckon we can get, say, three seasons out of the fella, even if we have to up his contract in the interim

Unless of course, Splob's bonus is looking in any doubt, at any given time :nono:

He's nominated for the European Goldenboy award. Reckon Renato Sanches will win it but the big man deserves to be mentioned.
