Keeper psyched him out, it happens. Tough situation for a young player to be leading the line on his own in the nou camp, did ok.
Don't think so - he just made a carrot of the run up and effort

This two step shampooe should be banned

worked fine for him before. It's only an issue when he misses.
It was an issue for me even when he scored

Loved it when Beppe Signori hit the short PK. There are probably stats about which penalties are more successful but if he's most comfortable hitting the short run up then he should just keep on doing that.

obviously you can't dictate technique and more often than not it's down to what the player feels comfortable with, but it definitely gives the keeper a better chance of saving it.

The penalty ended up being a one step run up as his stop start routine didn't faze the keeper who waited on the kick.

Statistically it might be better to have a longer run up but method is probably more bespoke depending on the player and whether it's consistently working or not. Happy to let him do his thing for the next penalty or two and if it's not working then let Sinclair on them. Moussa can go then go back to the drawing board, he's still raw af.

Short run ups :ffs:

If you can hit a ball with power and accuracy from an almost standing start then good on you, these players practice different techniques in training, they don't just decide, oh I think I look better doing it this way.

The keeper got to him big time yesterday, telling him where to put it. I personally thought smash it down the middle Commons Spartak style now that the keepers telling you where to put it.

He will get over it and to be honest it would not have made a difference last night.

His penalty against Astana was saveable. If keeper had gone the right way, he'd have saved it. Same last night....keeper went the right way, so he saved it.

Great penalties still hit the net even if the keeper goes the right way. I hope he improves his penalty kicks because the last two are not convincing. I know he scored against Astana and all that counts,etc....but, any keeper who has studied his last two kicks has got to feel encouraged....you've got a decent chance to save it.

The wait from him settling himself and actually hitting the penalty was long, Barca's players were deliberately stalling it. He had a long time to think about it, too long, probably should have taken a step back and cleared his head again.

He also scored a pen v Motherwell. His pen v Astana was excellent.

Poor today.
Don't agree mate. I felt bad for him. Many times I noticed him being unmarked in a good position and McGregor and Roberts decided to shoot.

Yes, Dembele isn't greedy. Sinclair, McGregor, Roberts and Forrest could of played him in on a few occasions but chose to shoot.

He got little to no service today. McGregor too busy skying the ball into the stands.
