With the parking restrictions happening, whats the chances of the team building a multi story carpark similar to what NFL teams have? Is there space for one? Would probably make the club some decent money since fans will have nowhere else to park.
I’m not sure anyone in our team would be capable of building a multi-storey car park. :ph43r:

In answer to your question, we don’t have the kind of money that would allow us to do that, and there is very little chance of return from a car park basically used 20 ish days a year.
Can you imagine trying to get out of it on match days? :twitch:

This parking things a effing joke. Wait until a wet January midweek against Dundee and the carrots will have had the desired effect.

Would it be 20+ days though with the velodrome across the road? I'm not sure how expensive they are to build to be fair, I just figured it was concrete that would get thrown up  . If we built a 10,000 car park and charge 5-10 pounds a game I figured it would be made back pretty quick (most US stadiums charge around $40 per game).

A quick Google search throws up an average build price of £7-8,000 per space , excluding VAT, so based on your bay numbers the cost would be in the region of £75,000,000 plus vat.
Can’t imagine PL signing the cheque for that.

 yikes, train it is- speaking of which, how likely is it to open the old train station beside the stadium? The remains of the lines are already there.

Do the multi story car packs in the city center really cost that much?

Further workings.

Based on an average build cost of £75,000,000’, and with a capacity for 10,000 cars ( or the biggest car park in the world as it would be known) each paying £10 per game to park, it would take 750 games if full , or approximately 30 seasons of 100% capacity to pay the initial costs, with no regard for annual costs/ upkeep/ wages etc.

I'm pretty sure most new NFL stadiums have similar capacity for their car parks. San Francisco definitely does, possibly Seattle and the Cowboys stadiums too. Point taken though, those stadiums cost almost billions.

Again, a quick Google search suggests that the biggest multi storey car park in the world has around 2400 spaces

Could have been a new 'world record' :ph43r: if the other mob can propose hover pitches, we can propose the worlds biggest car park. :suspect:

Council could start helping to ease traffic congestion after games by building an exit route on the south side of Emirates bus park.
