The line about Brendan having his pick of a world class academy suggests City, which suggests Etihad.

Etihad have recently binned their only route from Scotland though. You'd think if they were sponsoring something in Scotland, they'd want to have a service in the country they were doing it in.

Emirates on the other hand recently announced it was adding an Edinburgh to Dubai route to add to the existing Glasgow one.

Plus the stadium is across the road from an Emirates Arena as it is.

"Please alight from the bus here for the Etihad Stadium at Celtic Park and the Emirates Arena" :ffs:
Etihad won’t be chucking money at anything, they’re too busy trying to recover their ailing business.

Rumours for ages that they’ll be bought over by Emirates, though they’ve recently been denied (again) by Emirates.
They could make a dent in losses by scrapping their vastly overinflated "sponsorship" deal with Man City. Oh wait...

What would be a realistic deal for stadium rights?

£30m?

This article from February speculates about the value of naming rights per season for each of the Premier League clubs in 17/18, whether they have an existing deal or not.

No surprise to see who is top.

I'd guess we'd probably come in to the Newcastle or Everton range, although Champions League exposure could provide an add on that could push that higher.

The Stoke value is a bit misleading because it is an actual value, provided by the company that ultimately owns the club. It's inflated artificially like the City deal.

Would need to be a long deal to be worthwhile, if we’re getting around 5m per year and then you’ve got stuff like inflation to consider.

Phil Mac’s article posted today alluding to possible Celtic Park naming rights, perhaps ties in with fatboab’s post from last month? He did think it may have a Man City type link. :ponder:
Yep possibly something to do with Emirates was it Fatboab guessed?
this is certainly in line with what I heard. Some link to Man City/Etihad .I have heard nothing since to give any more detail.

 We need to move with the times and if we are offered serious money it would be foolish to knock it back.

It's easy money. Fans will still call it Celtic Park or Parkhead. Heck in the US they even sell the pitch's naming rights i.e. Alaska Airlines pitch at Centurylink Stadium

I'd be happy with £5m a season and don't think we'd settle for anything less.

Emirates or Etihad sponsoring a stadium where the teams main sponsor is a gambling company on one side and alcohol on the other? Doubtful.

I remember folk wondering why Brendan went down to London after the Musonda deal ended, but maybe it was tied in with Phils comments? Obv not the financial side, but dealings with the academy. And Caraboa are really pushing the football thing and are one of Chelseas main sponsors, so possibly them with the stadium? I'm sure we have a decent brand awareness in Asia, so I can see a link between it all.
