Mind I was at a game years ago and they wheeled out a steaming Shane McGowan... stumbled onto the pitch, mumbled, stumbled off. Had a degree of pathos tbh.

I'd speak up for a hotel as I have a slight disability and walking all the way from the Mercure was impossible, though it was a really nice place to stay and the staff were lovely. The Celtic hotel would need some good secure car parking for guests, mind. If we had been at a Celtic hotel, my mates could have had a stadium tour so more money for Pedro.

I suggested a branded beer which if tasted decent would sell for fun. What can we do to make more money?

- Big bouncy castle outside - Charge the kids £2 to do the huddle with Hoopy for a minute.

- Have a paintball zone near the Emirates - only green and white paint is allowed. Teams of 30 v 30 facing each other over the London Road charge a good few quid.

- Charge fans to loan a walkie talkie for the match so they can contact the GB to start a song of their choice. Radio in your favourite song eg Fan in South Stand: "Over and Over, please, over?". GB Commander: Copy fellow tim lets get this going.

- Green cheese pizza - bit different from normal pies and burgers.

- Half time sprint. 40 fans run length of the pitch. Fans can bet on the winner. Good cash for the club

Quite sure none of this has been done.

id love to have a rod stewart impersonator at half time. imagine rod (impersonator) with his love of the hoops singing (miming) our fave hits whilst ripping his shirt off to reveal a hoops top underneath. that would be fabulous :)
we did that the year we played at hampden along with other halftime entertainment.

It was brutal to be honest.
Think he was kidding on about Rod... I hope.

I had my first season book then (Hampden season)...Cher look alike at halftime. AWFUL.

Pretty sure they rolled out wee Jimmy as well alongside her at one game. Its a wonder wee JJ did not grab the mike from her & start his own tunes knowing he liked a chant.
Hahaha I was wondering how long it would take. I was at Hampden, we played Kilmarnock and rodney did just that. Little be known to e that a 'pal' was in the killie end as a crowd of them ran down to confront poor rod. A couple of says later it surfaced that said pal was front and centre, bile spewing from his east Ayrshire trap and captured by a red top photographer. Puir carrot was mortified, he still gets stick from me when I see him.

Club should consider laying on buses from the ground to the city centre after and maybe before the match, as transport links if you're not driving or on a supporter's bus are poor. If they even charged a nominal fee they could probably make a bit of money out if it.

They should reopen the old rail tunnel that runs under London Road, Maybe that's why the Road had been closed for so long :)

Double whoosh? :suspect:

Hotel at the TO would attract punters/participants/officials for anything that's on across the road, as well as our fans. Davis Cup, Cycling, etc.
The Clyde Gateway will also be extended right up through Haghill/Carntyne/Riddrie to the M8/M80 over the next couple of years. This will also be a benefit thanks to GCC.

Has the museum at the school site been kicked into touch? There is a bit of room there still beside the 'Kerrydale Clover'

As was pointed out previously, the old rail tunnel under London Road was compulsorily purchased many years ago (actually one of the first secret deals struck with the Glasgow Catholic Council) and incorporated into the Celtic Park - Vatican monorail link. :)
