Update to this. My mate has just put up on our whatsapp group that he's been in Celtic Park over the past couple of days assessing the structure so that new speakers can be installed. He doesn't have a timeline yet but he's only there to work out how much weight the walls can take. Looks like the glory days of 115 are numbered.
He is not from Manchester is he ? Hibs fan ?
I spoke to a guy on twitter who was in at Celtic dealing with quite a few issues/proposals to do with fan interaction.
And also for the player performance analysis.

Heaters. Big, blasting, sweaty balls inducing, heaters.
Real Madrid have them.
They are class. Was up the very back tier for a game on a Saturday night in the Bernabeu in April last year and I didn't realise how cold it got up there, even at that time of the year :baltic:

They stuck those things on and it was bliss.
Heaters please!! Lots of grounds in the Netherlands have them as well and they work really well.

always thought some sort of multi story car park would be an idea, specially now this new 1km permit zone will be in place as of next season. charge a couple of quid a shot and would be another source of income for the club
Just checked, and they cost between £5,000 to £7,000 a space to build.

If we go for the cheapest option and a fiver a head, it'll be 1,000 home games at full car park capacity before we even break even, just on build cost.

Not sure that fits Peter's 24 months "break-even" policy.

I think if they introduce this 1km exclusion zone we will see crowds drop dramatically, especially midweek games

Where do you even go to check the cost of that?

And wouldn't it be used once a fortnight, with a massive free alternative already at the Forge?

Definately will cut attendences midweek - particularly if it's bad weather. Especially people who are not rregistered disabled but are elderly / infirm.

It's probably already been said, but can we not get local independent businesses to do the catering?

Buchanan Galleries have started doing that and it makes a world of difference - good food, good service and prices that aren't ripping the absolute piss.

Is it too much to ask for there to be a cheeseboard option from the catering people?

Would be great to get the Social Bite involved, generally very good food and also half their profits go to homeless charities

Several years ago, I started a thread on the Radio 4 Food Programme that had featured the inexpensive healthy cooking initiative at Celtic Park. It was apparently targeted at the nearby residents. I did wonder if it might ever include match catering. Clearly there must be other vested interests that have taken precedence.

Always wondered why Celtic don't just pay the forge a nominal fee for fans to park there, especially mid week games when the shops are already mostly closed. I get that at the weekend fans may compete with shoppers for spaces but those fans may also be customers if they are popping in to buy something before the game. Seems like an easy solution?

Surely the forge wouldn't charge that much, especially if it ended up being in their benefit?

You are having a laugh - heaters!
We don't even get hot water in the main stand.
