Is the same thing happening at Firhill, Hampden and the bigot pit?

always thought some sort of multi story car park would be an idea, specially now this new 1km permit zone will be in place as of next season. charge a couple of quid a shot and would be another source of income for the club

Good question

Already happens at Hampden. But we should not be treated differently to other clubs.

The numbers at Firhill might not make it necessary.

I presume they'll do it at Ibrox though. Even if they make the decisions individually, it wouldn't look good to treat the clubs differently.

Think the next redevelopment will be a standing section at the north stand / jock end..

The housing directly facing Firhill are usually coned off but it's a more residential area than Celtic park around the ground so will have some effect on the local residents each match day. Same criteria should be applied to all IMO.

Combine the multi story with the increased seating. Round the perimeter, stay in the car and watch the game. Nice earner for the club that's been discussed previously and would work.

I was thinking about this coming back from the game on Tuesday. It's clear the emergency services are behind this scheme. The traffic going up Fielden Street after a game is probably a primary concern for them. To me this is a bit nonsensical, an emergency vehicle with their lights on could get up there easily.

I think a multi-storey car park could easily fit in at the car park South West of the stadium, but it would impact on the vistas from the main road there. Before I get slagged rotten for that comment, that's where I approach the stadium from and the Maley/Stein/67 posters coupled with the green lighting is quite inspiring. The problem you have is that you're just going to have much more cars on Clyde Gateway after matches.

I know it's comparing apples and oranges, but I was at the Allianz a few years ago and the entire approach to the stadium is underground parking.

We could even tie it in with that underground railway to the Vatican.

There are already plans for additional seats and another tier at main stand.
Will be out of date now as they were done years ago.
The need (or demand) for them has never arisen.

Good idea and then eventually extend it the length of the bottom north stand.. how awesome would that be

Was about to say that, it's loud enough but you just can't distinguish what's being said
Same with me. I just presumed that it was just my area (block 103). Is it throughout the stadium ?
Canny hear a word in 102.

Somebody needs to tell our announcer guy that as he has a microphone there is nae effin need to shout.

Update to this. My mate has just put up on our whatsapp group that he's been in Celtic Park over the past couple of days assessing the structure so that new speakers can be installed. He doesn't have a timeline yet but he's only there to work out how much weight the walls can take. Looks like the glory days of 115 are numbered.

He needs an in-ear monitoring system. I've just saved Lawwell £100k. :ynwa:

he's an arsehole, since his first game he's annoyed everyone around me in 105, I'd probably be disappointed if he stopped being an arsehole now
