Hail Hail!!
I remember reading awhile ago that the board had grand plans for the area around the stadium, does anyone know exactly what they are going to do?

Cheers

I don't think there will be anything majorly new any time soon. As I understand, there are a lot of scheduled maintenance and repair works due on cladding and roof paneling.

Also at the AGM they said they were going to tender on an upgrade to the PA system.

So with that, I reckon there won't be much done in terms of the approaches for 2 to 3 years.

They could start by telling whoever is digging that effing hole that's had London Rd closed for about 10 years now to get the finger out, WTF is even going on there? i pass it at least twice a week and see no work happening !

:rocker:

I pass the stadium 3 mornings out of 5 each week roughly. It looked absolutely brilliant this morning @ around 7.30am in the dark. The lights that are up in green (Christmas decorations) have the place looking top notch. Celtic way etc.. All looks awesome. Mental note I made to myself when I see it this morning.

Funny you have started this thread with me admiring it today.

In ref to the closed road & for the risk of not sounding like Victor Meldrew it is an utter disgrace it has now been shut for over 6 months, adds 10 minutes to my journey because of traffic lights on alternative routes and what the feck is going on it took so long pretty sure everyone is frustrated by it and the length of time. Heard it was a water leak back in May/June time. Pretty drawn out and that’s an understatement.

NB -Japanese took 48 hours to fix a 30 metre wide and 100 metre low sink hole 3 weeks ago and GCC/Water board take 7 months for a water issue!

Positive is that it looks night and day to the Sevco dome in Govan. What a carsey….they cannot even deny it as well!!!

The PA system needs replacing.

Supposedly new hotel where the Superstore is right now. Not sure where they're relocating the shop to.

There was a plan to build a hotel and shopping facility on the land beside the Emirates but that had nothing to do with Celtic. I think the company behind that went belly up so not sure who owns that land now.

Celtic's plan is for a hotel on where the ticket office is.

I think we should build a giant enormous big hand which is clearly visible from Ipox with two big fingers sticking up to say get it right up you :naught: oh and an illuminated sign saying for every £5 we spend they will spend a £10. I'm sure they'll appreciate the humour

Almost......access is directly beneath the Board Room....no, the hole is an expanded ventilation shaft to vent higher than anticipated exhaust fumes due to the increased monorail traffic between Paradise and the Vatican. :popepiusx2:
