|Kerrydale Street Forum Guidelines and Rules
Welcome to Kerrydale Street.
Kerrydale Street is a privately owned and run member's area, primarily for the discussion of Celtic Football Club. We like things to be a certain way, and your participation in this board is on the basis that you agree to follow our guidelines. Think of us like your local bowling club. But without the £200 fruit machine. Just because the forum is free to join, does not mean that you have a right to post here.
If you are an American Citizen under the age of 13 or have been previously banned from this site you are NOT permitted to register.
Each poster must register with a valid, unique email address.
You may not post anonymously.
By registering and using Kerrydale Street, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
Now and again, you may find yourself with a PM from one of the moderators in your inbox relating to the site guidelines.
We want this board to run as smoothly as possible. As such, we do enjoy many of the grown up debates and discussions that may take place; as long as they are within the guidelines set within this document. So please keep the good humour and discussion flowing, but any threads that have obviously run their course will be locked; and any that are off topic will either be moved, or deleted. Any personal abuse, racism or hate will not be tolerated.
We don't like images in sigs as we find that it interrupts the flow of a thread - making it difficult to see the original poster's thoughts. It is for this reason that we have decided to not allow any graphical sig over 10px high, or any text sig that is more than 3 lines long.
Where possible, try to host avatars at your own webspace, if you can as this will help out with the site bandwidth requirements. However, if you do not have such a facility, please feel free to use our upload functionality. Regardless of location, please make sure that your avatar isn't greater than about 20kb, as this will really slow the site down for those on a dial-up connection.
One Topic - One Thread
Please keep all discussion on one topic to a single thread. We find that multiple threads on the same topic only causes confusion and repetition.
Name changes will only be considered with a spectacularly valid reason. This is to avoid confusion through rapid name change.
Please take time to post in the correct forum. If your topic is placed in the wrong forum, it may be moved.
Your topics may be deleted or closed to keep the board organized and up to date.

We would rather avoid discussion of Irish politics on the board. We appreciate that our choice may make us the ridicule of other boards, but we're happy with it. The volume of people signing up each day suggests that the majority of poster are also happy with it.
We don't want to discuss Irish politics here - not because we are pro-republican, not because we're anti-republican, but because of the bickering and disputes that these discussions bring. The inevitable clash of strong personalities that happens with Irish politics gets people riled and upset. And in all of my time reading them on other forums, I've yet to see someone change someone else's mind or outlook.
Again, WE ARE NOT anti-Irish, or anti-republicanism; we're not denying that Celtic's heritage and foundations are linked to the good republic, or that it's not a major part of the club; but we simply have not got the time and energy to properly moderate these discussions and answer the PMs that start to arrive in the moderator's inboxes. We'd much rather be sitting on our couches, feigning interest while the missus watches Corrie.
If you don't like this, then we are sorry, but there are many other forums which are quite happy to let you have these discussions. PM one of the moderators for suggestions.
If you notice that a post, or poster is breaking these rules, please contact one of the moderators directly and we will deal with it.
Big_Bobo_Balde, Bobby Peru, Dianogah, El Celtico, Fatboab, Fudgie, George McCluskey, Hoops_in_Paris, Jim62, Kevtic, Klubber_Lang,, Mikebhoy, moravcik67, thebhoyalan, TheHumanTorpedo, The Orb and Tim Waits are the main site moderators.
First and foremost, we are here to help. If a poster is annoying you and you find the red mist descending, please PM whichever of the backroom team is online. This can be found by clicking on the General link at the top of the page, and scrolling to the bottom.
If you disagree with a decision, or the way that the board is being run, please PM one, or all of us and we can try to resolve it offline.
Finally, if you have any problems with the site, are confused about any aspect, or have ideas for the future, then let one of us know.
For basic offences, Kerrydale Street operates a "3 strikes" system of formal warnings. You can all see your own warning level. 0% means "goody, goody kiss-ass", and 100% means that you are about to be banned for a bit. If you click on the number that's underlined before the % sign, you will see your warning history. Only you and forum moderators can see your warning history.
We will notify that you have received a warning either by PM, email or publically in the thread in which you broke the terms and conditions.
Depending on the severity of your action, as well as a warning, this may result in an immediate temporary or permanent ban.
Minor warnings may be removed in time depending on how the moderators are feeling.
Swearing is not allowed in this forum. This includes deliberately misspelling swear words, or using punctuation in place of letters.
Any posts containing profanity will earn the poster an official warning. This is a zero-tolerance policy and exceptions will not be made.
If you would like to complain about any decision or board policy, please send an email to email@example.com. Posting your complaint publically in the forum will probably not help your cause.
You remain solely responsible for the content of your own posts. The opinions expressed in this forum no way represent the opinions of Kerrydale Street, or the Kerrydale Street moderators.
Registered email addresses and IP addresses will not be used for any purpose other than for the direct running of the board.
However, we do reserve the right to reveal your identity in the event of a serious complaint or legal action arising from a message posted by you.
